VJ Window
Wood, acrylic, LED strip, microcontroller
VJ window is my first VJ object. She was originally built with a p5 sketch which used three color pickers to select her color. She now functions with an arduino control box.
HSV color can be set for each of the three panes. In addition, she has seven different “moving scenes” whose speed can be controlled.
She was designed to function in VJ settings as a mood-shifting, movement-mirroring object for dancing. She is also meant to work well in domestic settings, where her colors can be set and when next turned on she will remember her previous colors.

In the future I plan to build onto her controller an archive of a favorite color combinations, much like “saved radio stations” in cars.
