Larsen ELECTRIC! is a hybrid exhibition combining the varied practices of myself and my brother, Michael Larsen. Our individual creative and professional pursuits span art-making, lighting design, electrical construction, and art installation.
Larsen ELECTRIC! is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek play on the actual name of the family company, while also serving as a metaphor for the grow-light inspiration that powers our varied endeavors. Our shared childhood serves as a backdrop for the show. Snakes weave through the grass in LED landscapes, weepy sunflowers bathe in electrified fields, and a small fire burns quietly in a television stick shell.
